Welcome to Year Two!
Year 2 marks the last year at Eagley Infants and it is a very fun, exciting and busy year. Your child will take part in many exciting opportunities linked to their learning. Make sure to keep updated on what your child is learning in school by checking Seesaw.

Homework
Your child will pick a new reading book every Monday to read at home. Please support your child to read little and often (preferably daily). Each time your child reads please make sure to sign their reading record.
Your child will complete a spelling quiz every Friday morning. Please support your child to learn their spellings. These will be sent home on Friday (for the following week) in reading bags and added to Seesaw.
Please also support your child to count in 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s forwards and backwards in preparation for times tables later in the year. Maths homework will also be added to Seesaw or sent home in reading bags on Fridays.
PE
PE days will be Monday and Thursday.
Please make sure your child comes to school in their PE kit.
Black shorts, tracksuit bottoms or leggings
White T-shirt
School jumper, cardigan or new school PE hoody.
General Reminders
Your child will read with an adult every day in school. Please make sure to bring their reading bags and records to school every day.
Please also ensure your child has a water bottle in school (no juice please. Water or flavoured water only).
