Welcome to Year 1!
We are very excited about the year ahead and can’t wait to show you all the things we get up to in Year One!
This year Miss Parker will be the teacher of the Squirrels class and Mrs Tibbitts will be the teacher of the Hedgehog class. Miss Ramsden, Mrs Massey, Mrs Entwistle, Mrs Clarkson and Mrs Ainscow are also in Year One to support and take care of your child.
Tuesday and Friday are our PE days. Your child should come to school in their PE kit on these days. If your child has their ears pierced please ensure that earrings are removed.
PE Kit – White top, black shorts/trousers, school jumper and black trainers.
As outdoor learning is a huge part of our school please can you bring your child their own pair of wellies that they can keep at school so they can access this part of their learning.
Every day your child should bring and take home their water bottle.
Please ensure your child brings their reading packet to school every day as we read most days throughout the week.

Little Wandle parents page
At Eagley Infant School we use the Little Wandle phonics scheme to support your child to read and write. Your child will read at least three times a week and encourage them to read as often as possible at home. In Year One your child is required to take a phonics screening check which assesses their reading.
