Science

At Eagley Infant School we aim to provide a Science rich curriculum that ensures our children develop the knowledge and skills to explore and understand the world around them. Children are encouraged to be curious, inquisitive, exploratory and work scientifically. Our language rich curriculum allows children to question and learn about the natural world in a safe, inclusive environment. Outdoor learning and a love of nature is woven through our curriculum with opportunities to explore and experience science in context by using our many onsite animals, school gardens and forest school experiences. Science provides the opportunity for children to recall prior learning and experiences, tackle challenges which promote resilience and develop a natural curiosity, in turn supporting each child’s mental health and wellbeing.
