At Eagley Infant School we have developed our PSHE curriculum with a key focus on

developing children’s well-being and social skills through learning about health, emotions, relationships, and safety to prepare them for life and society.

Our key goals include building confidence and self-esteem, fostering positive attitudes towards self and others, teaching how to form healthy relationships and manage emotions, understanding the importance of safety and hygiene, and preparing children for changes in their bodies and the wider world.

Using Jigsaw materials which allows a mindful approach to PSHE, a discrete lesson is taught every week, linked to a range of key topics. This is taught from Nursery to Year 2 with the same theme followed across the school.

Enhancements are woven throughout the curriculum, ensuring that Personal, Social and Health Education is a key part of school life.
