Design Technology

At Eagley Infant School, our bespoke, inspiring and practical Design & Technology curriculum aims to nurture children’s natural curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills from the earliest stages of learning.

Our aim is to provide rich, hands-on experiences that foster imagination and allow children to understand how things work, make purposeful products that solve relevant, real-life problems and begin to select relevant tools which they use safely and effectively.

We want our children to develop the confidence to take risks, through drafting design concepts, modelling and testing, which will enable them to become reflective learners who can evaluate their own work and that of others.

Where possible, we aim to link our work to a range of subjects such as Maths, Art, History, Science and Computing, which ensures contextual learning is taking place and is memorable for our children.
