Week beginning 6th July

This week in Nursery we have been investigating and exploring with the metal detectors. Then we used them to collect hidden pennies to buy an ice-cream sundae which we made ourselves. Lots of counting out this week! We also set up the role play area as an airport, taking turns at acting out the different people.

Next week we will use the Bee-Bots to talk about directions. 

Week beginning 22nd June

This week in Nursery we have created minibeasts made from salt dough. There have been some super models made. Next week we are going to paint them. We also made and ate jelly, talking about how it changed.

Next week we are setting up the role play as an airport and talking about our holidays. Find out if you are going on holiday or have been already. We can look for the places on the globe or map.

Week beginning 15th June

This week in Nursery we have been making a special card for our Daddies. We think they will like them. We have been exploring outdoors looking for and learning about minibeasts. We found lots of worms and slugs and looked at Mrs Clarkson's wormery. We read different information books to help us learn more. See what you can find in your garden or in the park?

Next week we will be creating salt dough creepy crawlies.

Week beginning 8th June

Ths week in Nursery we had a super Sports Day. Everyone who took part really enjoyed it. We also completed our caterpillar creations and made ladybirds for the classroom wall. We looked at another creepy crawly,maggots, watching how they moved and learning about their life-cycle.

Next week we are making a special card for our Daddies.

Week beginning 1st June

This half-term we are finding out about minibeasts. We set up our role play as a Bug Camp with lots of different insects and creatures for us to look at. We created caterpillar pictures by printing circles and played Incy Wincy Spider counting game.

Next week we are hoping for a lovely, sunny day on Tuesday so that we can hold our Sports Day.
