Did you have fun planting your own sunflowers and/or learning about the life cycle of a sunflower? This week we are going to learn all about the parts of a plant as this will help you to take the best possible care of your plants at home. Plants are made up of lots of different parts that help them to function and stay alive just like our bodies!

This week can you watch the video below all about parts of a plant? You might also want to access BBC bitesize about parts of a plant via this link! https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zpxnyrd/articles/z3wpsbk

When you have learned all about parts of a plant, can you test your brain by having a go at these plants activities? They involve labelling parts of a plant as well as cutting parts of a plant out and sticking it all back together! I can't wait to see your amazing learning about parts of a plant!

Finally, if you managed to plant your own sunflower seed last week then you might be lucky enough to see it germinate this week! Germinate means beginning to grow and put out shoots. How exciting! Please remember to fill out your sunflower diary and measure your sunflower to see how much it has grown!
