Addition and subtraction fact families!
This week we are going to be looking at 'fact families' for addition and subtraction. An example of this is that if we know 6+4=10 we also know 4+6=10, 10-6=4 and 10-4=6. This means that those 4 equations are a fact family!
We have learned about these inverse relationships between addition and subtraction in class, so I know you will be super at remembering this!
If you follow this link to the White Rose website, there is a video and learning sheet that you can complete each day. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/
Equally, I have put some learning onto Education City which you can access on your tablets at home should this be easier for you.
Click on the following link: https://go.educationcity.com/
1. Click on link and enter login details
2. Click on 'homework' section
3. Click on 'fact families'
Another great website where we have set some 'fact family' practice is Purple Mash. Each child was sent home with a login stapled into the front of their reading diary before we left school.
Please click on this link https://www.purplemash.com/sch/Eagleyinfant and use your child's individual login. You should then click on '2do' at the top of the page.
Here are a selection of worksheets you can also print to support this learning at home.
