Week ending 8th June 2018
We have had a lovely week in year 2. It has been super busy as usual and we have had the chance to take part in numerous sports.
On Monday we started our sports week by taking part in Archery. We had an amazing time with this and some of us had great success at hitting the bullseye! This was followed by our sports day which was a huge success and enabled our family to come and watch us and see what talent sports men and women we have among us. We have had the opportunity to take part in a lovely Indian dance which was lovely. We also have some talented dancers in year 2! And our final sport which we took part in was cricket. We had such fun playing cricket and it was lovely to enjoy the sunshine we have had this week!
We have also spent this week doing lovely Maths and English activities. We have also had the chance to explore some Indian traditions like Henna. We have had the chance to design our own Henna tattoos. We have also looked at the Indian flag and the different colours which make up the flag.
Thank you for your support at sports day and thank you for the lovely comments you have left.
Week ending 29th June 2018
We have had a super week of weather and we have also had a super week of learning. Despite approaching the end of the school year the children are still producing some amazing work. We have produced some super learning on remainders as well as adding 3 one digit numbers together.
In English we have been writing a recount about our trip to Haigh Hall. The children have had an amazing time and it is lovely to see them writing such lovely memories from their time on the trip.
We have been preparing some work on the computers for Goosnargh where we have all created a continuous pattern on the computer. We have also entered a competition on Purple Mash to design a football kit, fingers crossed we win.
If you would like to see the pictures from the trip they are on display in Mr. Proctor's classroom.
